Two American Pieced Cotton Quilted Coverlets Possibly Lancaster, Pennsylvania, Early 20th Century The first, worked in a Double Irish Chain pattern in yellow and red on a quilted green ground within a yellow and red banded border with a dark blue calico backing; the second, also worked in a Double Irish Chain pattern in red and yellow on a blue calico ground with a red and yellow saw tooth border continuing to a blue calico border and a black, pink and white geometric striped backing.
