Two Chinese Glazed Pottery Vessels Song-Yuan Dynasty The first, a wine ewer, having a lobed and slightly bulbous body painted in green and iron-brown with a bird hovering over lotus plants on a creamy yellow ground, the everted neck and rim centered by a faceted short spout and an applied strap handle, overall creamy yellow glaze pulling around the neck and dripping behind the handle over an unglazed flared foot; the second, an ointment ewer having an ovoid sack form body, with short spout and pinched handle, thick translucent green glaze slipping and pooling around an unglazed ring foot.
