The elephant finial highlighted with blue enamel set with one round cabochon ruby, the lid set with six Imperial Eagles set with one hundred sixty-two rose-cut diamonds and set with one round cabochon ruby, the clasp set with twenty-three rose-cut diamonds and one round cabochon ruby, the bottom of the egg having 14 karat yellow gold swans above six anchors, set with ninety rose-cut diamonds, the base of the egg having a single line of fifteen rose-cut diamonds and four round cabochon rubies on a nephrite jade base, the lid opens to view a 14-karat yellow gold motif of Peter the Great; mounted on a light blue guilloche enamel field; together with a wood and light green velvet presentation box.
