Rogers, Smith & Co. Silver-Plated Three,Part Dressing Mirror Meriden Connecticut, Last Quarter 19th Century The rectangular central section having a geometric border with applied foliate decorated corners enclosing an oval looking glass with an inner geometric border and floral open work corners surmounted by a scrolling floral pediment with central putti. The central section flanked by two hinged adjustable oval looking glasses, the backs with a stylized scrolling wind motif, with rope turned borders mounted on cylindrical arms with scrolling corbels, surmounted by foliate decorated V-form finials and raised on ball feet. Impressed on back Patented Sept. 13, 1887 One finial loose. H: 21.5in; W when closed: 15.5in; W when open: 38.75in. See Illustration
