Pair of Korean Mother-of-Pearl Tortoise-Shell and Brass Wire Inlaid Lacquer Side Cabinets 20th Century Each rectangular gold speckled dark brown lacquer cabinet, the top inlaid with a central Tae-Keuk crest within butterfly' inlaid corners, above two panel doors with brass engraved 'butterfly' escutcheon and a brass and copper yinyang lock, inlaid with a sinuous fire breathing dragon in pursuit of a fiery pearl and enclosing a storage compartment, above two aligned drawers with floral inlay all above a shaped skirt with inlaid floral double-gourd and fan reserves, raised on inverted scroll feet. some losses and repairs to inlaid feet, and one with inlay loss to one top butterfly.
