Japanese Shibayama and Silver Vase Signed on applied got plaque Bisei, Meiji Period The hexafoil body inset with convex rectangular gold lacquer panels inlaid in mother-of-pearl, coral tortoise shell and colored ivory with birds amidst floral arrangements and offset with silver elephant head and ring handles at the shoulder which narrows and decorated with applied enameled floral and scroll reserves continuing to a narrowing and flared neck with chased floral decoration, and raised on three ruyi-head shaped feet chased with Kiri mons amidst foliage.
