Japanese Ebonized Wood Side Cabinet Meiji Period In two parts; the upper section having a flat cloud band carved and molded cornice with dragon faced everted scroll ends, above a central pierced iris valance enclosing a recessed niche with mirrored back and iris carved side panels, flanked by two pierced cloud band valanced niches enclosing a shelf over a drawer and alternating with elaborately carved sinuous dragon stiles, above a tripartite niche with cloud band stiles and iris carved panels, the sides similarly carved; the protruding lower section having a key-fret cross banded and gadrooned molded edge top above an iris carved frieze drawer over pierced dragon valance and a niche, flanked by sinuous dragon stiles and two dragon carved panel doors, ending on a flush base. some losses to carvings, top cracked and probably lacking feet.
