Oil on canvas 30 x 25in 76.2 x 63.5 cm) Note: Catharine Carter Critcher was a Washington, D.C. artist who first traveled to Taos in 1922 and later became a member of the Taos Society of artists. Taos provided her with a wealth of subject matter and friendships. She did not, however, feel the same desire to base her career in Taos, which many members of the group who called the outpost home did.
