Arita Vase and Censer Taisho Period The vase, having an ovoid body enamel painted with two pair of overlapping square reserves against cresting waves with emerging fish, above an iron-red and brown lappet banding and a floral blue banded narrowing rim and tapering vase, signed in iron-red Minami sato; and the censer, globular form, painted in millefiori in iron-red and gilt centering blue and white animal mask handles alternating with pierced fan-form reserves and raised on three blue and white short scroll feet.
