Arita Charger Meiji Period The round shallow body with the cavetto decorated in blue, iron-red, green, yellow and gold of a shishi amidst foliage, within a wide upward molded border painted in polychrome enamels and gold with Chinese immortals with attendants in a landscape, beneath a gilded and rounded rim, the exterior border painted with three roundels of an official and an attendant alternating with blossoms and tendrils above a ring foot.
