    Note:
    The original work is located in the Pitte Palace, Florence.
  • Condition: The canvas has been relined. Overall with craquelure and stretcher bar marks are visible along the perimeter of the work. Some scattered minor points of loss along the perimeter where the old canvas is mounted to the relining canvas. What appears to be a horizontal 4-inch repaired tear to the canvas in the l.r. corner. A milky-green varnish is visible under UV examination with scattered areas of restoration overall, most notably in the area above the Madonna''s right arm, in the area above the Christ Child''s head including the top portion of his hair and in the area of the Madonna''s hair and head covering to the left of her face.
