Group of Seven English Silver Small Boxes
19th Century
The first, a table box, Rawlings & Sumner, London, 1857-1858, with chased scroll-work borders, sides and bottom and with gilded interior; the second, a snuff box, Joseph Willmore, Birmingham, 1797-1798, concave book form with chased diaper decoration and with gilded interior; the third, an oval nutmeg grater, John Deacon, London, 1810-1811, with floral chased hinged top and punch-work steel grater; and four vinaigrettes: the first two, Samuel Pemberton and John Bettridge, Birmingham, 1819 and 1830, book form with floral chased and gilt repoussé decoration; the third, of oval shape, with unidentified touch mark; and the fourth, William Elliott, London, 1825-1826; each with gilded interiors and chased and open-work hinged grills. Some with minor abrasions.

Shipping

While Weschler's does not provide packing and shipping services other than jewelry purchases, we do have a list of recommended third party shippers to assist you. It is the responsibility of each purchaser to make their own shipping arrangements.

Keep in mind, property may not be released without receipt of purchase payment. In addition, once you have finalized shipping arrangements you must notify our shipping department to confirm your intentions. No property will be released without your confirmation with our office.

Maryland Sales Tax is computed on this total purchase price. The purchaser will be required to pay the Sales Tax unless: (i) the property purchased is for resale and a valid Resale Tax number is presented to Weschler's business office at the time of payment, and the sales price is $200 or more; or (ii) the property is being shipped to a buyer located outside the state of Maryland by an ICC/USDOT licensed shipper/carrier.

Please note that all property must be removed from our premises within one week (7 days) post-sale from a Capital Collections auction and three (3) days post-sale from a Metro Online or Timed auction.
