Description:

We Still Have a Dream, Jobs, Peace, Freedom, Poster from the Poor People's Campaign, or Poor People's March on Washington, 1968, signed by John Lewis (1940-2020), with the abbreviation SNCC for the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee,
John Lewis was a politician who served as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives for 17 terms. He was an African American Civil Rights Leader and a founding member of the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC) , serving as its Chairman from 1963-1966. As Chairman, Lewis was among the 'Big Six' leaders of prominent civil rights organizations who organized the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom in 1963. On March 7, 1965, he helped organize and lead the first of three Selma to Montgomery marches across the Edmund Pettus Bridge. This protest led to the incident that would become known as 'Bloody Sunday'.

In 1968 Martin Luther King Jr, as leader of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC), organized this protest. The protest consisted of thousands of people, setting up a camp on the Washington Mall over the course of six weeks. The Poor People's Campaign was motivated by a desire for economic justice and was endorsed by SNCC and many other civil rights organizations.

We are happy to recommend a number of local and national shipping specialists (a list of these shippers is included with invoices), but it is the responsibility of each purchaser to make their own shipping arrangements.

Keep in mind, property may not be released without receipt of purchase payment. In addition, once you have finalized shipping arrangements you must notify our shipping department to confirm your intentions. No property will be released without your confirmation with our office.

The purchaser acknowledges that if they use any Weschler's staff members to assist in moving, packing, or loading purchases, Weschler's will not be held liable for any damages that may occur.

Maryland Sales Tax is computed on the total purchase price, including Buyer's Premium.
