Meissen Nine-Piece Monkey Band and a Meissen Figure of Boy with Bagpipes
Late 19th-Early 20th Century
The monkey band consisting of: an orchestra conductor, drummer with tricorn hat, timbal carrier, a bagpiper, a harpist, a singer with sheet of music, bassoonist, and two flautists; together with a boy playing the bagpipes. Each with underglaze blue crossed swords mark, some with various incised and impressed numbers. The boy with repair to right hand holding bagpipes; timbal carrier with chip to head.
Heights from: 4-3/4 to 7 in (12.1 to 17.8 cm )
