Three Chinese Lac Burgaute Snuff Bottles
First Quarter 20th Century
The first, flattened ovoid-form inlaid with mother-of-pearl on opposing sides with foliate reserves enclosing a figure outside a pagoda, the verso with a bird amidst a flowering tree, also with a border of mother-of-pearl dust, and the bottom painted in red lacquer with pseudo four-character Qianlong mark within a gilt metal applied frame; the second and third, slightly flattened ovoid-form and bottle-form, each having opposing sides with triangular reserves and each side enclosing flowers amidst a floral diaper ground, both bases with inlaid mother-of-pearl leaf mark.
