Louis XVI Style Ormolu, Bronze and Marble Figural 'Pendule l'Étude et la Philosophie' Allegorical Mantel Clock

The clock case, after a model by François Rémond (French 1747-1812); the white and black enamel Arabic numeral dial within gold enamel festooning, with an Arabic numeral date ring and two winding apertures, signed Crosnier/ A Paris; the two-train movement striking a bell on the hour and half-hour, and the back movement plate numbered 8749. Mounted on a mottled lavender, white, and gold marble base. Base frieze possibly lacking two ormolu mounts.
