Group of Four French Bronze Figures of Birds
Late 19th-Early 20th Century
The first three, after models by Ferdinand Pautrot (1832-1874): the first, a bird perched on a tree limb, signed Pautrot; the second, a woodcock trying to spear a fish from a fallen tree trunk, signed F. Pautrot; and the third, a fledging, signed Pautrot each with goldish-brown patina. The fourth, a bird of prey capturing a mouse on a forest floor, after a model by Alphonse-Alexandre Arson (1822-1880), signed A Arson, and having a goldish-brown patina.
